What We Do

My Dorm Room provides students from low-income backgrounds, including first-generation-to-college, $250 to spend on a curated registry, so they can create and individualize their dorm room, to match their unique styles, just as most of their college peers can do.

Think of our dorm registry like a wedding registry, but tailored to college life. It’s a platform where students choose dorm essentials, eliminating a source of anxiety for them, and often, their parents. This is one of the many invisible inequities these students face when they start college that you can help alleviate.
